Hi Todd,
Here is my new friend:
This dog found me this weekend. He is a cute and nice dog.
Long story short, he spent the weekend at my house and my mom picked him
up Sunday because I can't have a dog in the house and I have no fence
around my yard.
Turns out my nephew (age 1.5) who lives at mom's house is terrified of dogs.
My co-worker just picked him up about and hour ago and she is in love
with him already.
I don't like being outside.

Napping while I cook

Hi Roscoe!
Some good advice from the family pet:
If a dog was your teacher, you would learn stuff like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure
ecstasy.
When it's in your interest, practise obedience.
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop and lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your whole body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout
... run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you've had enough.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them
gently.

Friends of Morningside Park
received the following alert from NYCDOG this afternoon.
The NYC Parks Dept.
has confirmed that they have approved the distribution of this
warning.
"NYC PARKS and PEP (Parks Enforcement Patrol)
REPORTS THAT
A
CRAIG'S LIST POSTING
THREATENS TO PLACE POISON IN DOG RUNS.
It could
be a hoax or it could be real.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD IMMEDIATELY TO ALL
DOG RUN/PARK USERS
1. When entering the dog run, please study it
carefully BEFORE unleashing your dog.
2. If you spot ANYTHING suspicious,
IMMEDIATELY call the police, pep, and 311. Stay nearby until police
arrive.
3. Do not touch anything suspicious and do not let any dogs near
it.
4. Be vigilant right OUTSIDE of your dog parks. If someone truly intends
to poison dogs, placing laced food near the dog runs is a way to avoid being
easily spotted. Again- if you spot anything, report it immediately.
5. If you
hear or see anything, please also let NYCdog know so we can share with
everyone.
We are not sharing the link so that officials may investigate
properly.
Again, this could be a hoax but just in case it is real, be
cautious..."
