This is our Weimaraner puppy, Dezmund. He is 10 weeks old and very adventurous. One of 8 in his litter, he was used to sleeping mostly on the top of the pack... and now that there is no pack, he can't quite seem to find a comfortable sleeping position. So he finds uncomfortable ones. These are some of his favorites. At least he always picks the same spot on the couch. :)

This is our kitty Snarf. He likes to meow loudly late at night when he sees other kitties outside the window. It usually takes us throwing a pillow at him to make him stop. But other than that he's the best kitty we've ever had.

This is a picture of me on my wedding day with my beloved dog Gene. I found Gene in a city pound in Providence, RI in 1992. I didn't go there expecting to come home with a dog, let alone the best dog in the world, but he looked at me through the bars of his run and I knew we belonged together. He was on his last day, and if the pound had needed the space he would have been euthanized the next day. (*Luckily this particular pound is no longer running.) Gene had a spiked black leather collar on that was too small, and had rubbed all the fur off of his neck. I figured whatever his name had been in a previous life, it wasn't Eugene, plus Gene just fit him perfectly. Gene loved cheese, to the point where he once ran into the middle of someone's picnic and stole their block of swiss cheese, ignoring the fried chicken.

I've had dogs since Gene, and will continue to have dogs, but they'll never stand a chance of comparing to him. He was my once-in-a-lifetime dog. May everyone be so lucky.
